Ash Wednesday

Mar 5, 2025

Each year, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, which is a 40-day season (not counting Sundays) marked by repentance, fasting, reflection, and ultimately celebration. Lent asks believers to set aside a time each year for similar fasting, marking an intentional season of focus on Christ's life, ministry, sacrifice and resurrection. The imposition of the ashes reminds us of our need for forgiveness and Christ's cross of grace imprinted in our lives. A service with music, message and ashes will be at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary. Before the worship service, you are invited to join us for the Monk's Meal at 5:30pm (a light meal of soup, bread, cheese and fruit}. Ashes will also be provided by Pastor Fran Wednesday morning between 8:30 and 9:30 am in the Colonnade area for congregating Preschool and community members. Childcare available for the worship service.
